The Lunch Spot

On the way back from Phi Phi Island we stopped at another very small island in the middle of nowhere. It was one of those islands you see with a palm tree and beach going all the way around. The only thing on the this island was a thatched roof building where we had a smorgasbord lunch.

There we heaps of beach umbrellas and chairs for us all to sit on. A man selling icecreams would wonder past. It was all very projagulant.

Phi Phi Island

This is part of the beach at Phi Phi Island. As you can see there are a few boats in this photo. What you can't see is about 100 other boats waiting to come ashore with heaps of tourists aboard.

Our Boat

This is the fast speed boat we took to Phi Phi Island. We had about 16 other people with us and 3 crew. I spoke to the deck hand and he told me he was leaving after only a few months doing it. I asked him why and he told me they have to cross the 45 mile stretch of open water every day and sometimes the waves a 5 metres and very scary . No wonder he wanted to leave. The day we went it was a bit choppy going over and smooth as coming home.

Day Tour

We went via a speed boat to Phi Phi Island. ON the way we stop off at Little Phi Phi Island. This is a shot from the beach

The Novotel Hotel's bottom pool

The hotel featured three pools. This was the bottom pool, closest to the outdoor bar. The closest pool to our room was the top pool. Didn't swim in the pool shown as it was popular with the kids playing ball sports At the back of the plants on the left was a spa pool.
